Solution:
We created three examples of characters that will TEACH dba.dk users to look in different ways at the old things that they don’t need or use anymore. The goal of these stories is to show that stuff has afterlife and can get different value with a new owner. It can also change function, go from residual to retro, meaning that going from just having an afterlife value, now have .
The purpose of the stories created is to re-direct buyers to the items and make them think of their old stuff in new way. There’s an infinite possibility of stories to be created across different categories.
A newsletter is going to help dba.dk interchange the buyer and the seller, making them change place. We are transforming the buyer into a seller and vice versa. Showing the most popular search words within the last week will help a seller think of products he has at home that can be in the interest of someone else. The words will also be shown in the top banner of the DBA website and this is also the place where you can sign up for this newsletter.
Stories to tell based on :
ºSomeone else will pay to be in your shoes
ºRetro to residual
ºShort lifespan of an object
ºTransforming the function
ºDesirability
ºCollectibles
It is possible to see that DBA got inspired by this concept and created their own DBAblog where they tell real life stories of objects and their afterlife value. Concept developed by:
